CSO policy on Intellectual Property arising from Research and Development is set out in the IP Policy Framework document issued under cover of MEL(1998)23; and that generated by NHS employees in HDL(2004)9.

NHS IP is a potentially valuable resource which should be appropriately exploited by those best able to do so. The detailed guidance above sets out the following:
