Patients and the Public

CSO places great importance on ensuring that the work that it funds is relevant for patients, and that the view of the public and patients are taken into account in all aspects of CSO work.  The main forum for this is our Public Engagement Group.

We also encourage our Clinical Research Networks to involve patients in their work.

If you are interested in participating in clinical research you should register with SHARE (Scottish Health Research Register).

For those interested in ongoing clinical research in the UK, information can be found from:

If you are looking for summaries detailing the findings from research funded through CSO grants and personal Fellowships these can be found on our funded research pages.

More information on Public Involvement can be found on the Patient Public Involvement Pages on the NRS website.
