NRS Clinical Research Champions

As part of the ongoing process to appoint specialist research leads within NHS Research Scotland, CSO are seeking applicants for three Clinical Research Champion roles. These part-time posts are open to medical consultants working in Scotland with a research interest in one of the following areas:

Cardiovascular Disease

Musculoskeletal Disorders

Reproductive Health & Childbirth

Posts are for 0.2 FTE/2 PA, and will be for three years in the first instance.

Following the recent review of NHS Research Scotland (NRS) support structures, the Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government (CSO) is implementing a set of changes to drive delivery to clinical studies in Scotland. As part of this process, research specialty clinical lead roles are being renewed over the next three years. These three posts are the next positions to be renewed as part of the implementation of the revised structure, following the recent appointment of the Cancer and Primary Care Research Champions, and Specialty Leads in Renal Disease, Non-malignant Haematology and Infectious Diseases & Microbiology.
