PPI Standards Project

The aim of this project is to improve the quality and consistency of public involvement in research by developing a set of national standards. Having an agreed set of standards will help us all to work towards, deliver or exceed current good practice in public involvement in research.

The standards will

  • be designed to support and provide guidance to research organisations, researchers and the public and will help people get better at delivering public involvement in research.
  •  be underpinned by a suite of practical guidance resources and examples that will demonstrate what good public involvement practice looks like in daily research activities and in the work of research organisations.
  •  support people to report on their planning and delivery of public involvement and the difference it makes.

More information on the project is available from the standards website, where you can also join the mailing list to keep up to date with the project.

More information, resources and the consultation documents are available from the consultation page.
