Summary of responses to draft UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research
The UK policy framework for health and social care is intended to set out clearly the high-level principles and responsibilities, applicable in all health and social care research, that underpin high-quality ethical research in the UK. This single UK policy framework is intended to replace the existing Scottish Executive Health Department Research Governance Framework for Health and Community Care.
Over the period of 18th December 2015 and 24th March CSO in conjunction with the Health Research Authority is England and the devolved administrations in Northern Ireland and Wales consulted on a draft version of the new framework. A summary of the responses that CSO received as part of this exercise is now available. These responses along with those from other nations are being considered with a view to finalising framework shortly
