Applied Health Research Programmes Funding Call

Following an independent strategic review of research unit funding, CSO is reconfiguring aspects of its funding support for applied health research to introduce new funding schemes, firstly for applied research programmes of up to 5 years in duration, and later for applied research centres of up to 10 years in duration. Both schemes will support applied research to address important challenges to population health and/or the NHS in Scotland.

Details about the applied health research centre funding scheme are planned to be issued in 2024. Subsequent calls under either of these schemes are only likely to be issued as the initial tranche of funded programmes or centres nears completion or as budgets allow.
