The Precision Medicine Alliance Scotland (PMAS) delivers on a Programme for Government commitment. The strategic aim of PMAS is to stimulate research and delivery in the NHS of Precision Medicine approaches to the treatment and management of health conditions of major importance in Scotland, including diseases that disproportionately impact those at risk of socioeconomic disadvantage.
The Scottish Government launched the PMAS funding call 27 May 2021, which was open for application from Scottish-led researchers. Following an independent expert review process 4 projects were funded with a total investment of nearly £10 million over 4 years.
