National Research Network Clinical Lead Appointment – Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders

The Chief Scientist Office is looking to appoint a National Research Network Clinical Lead for Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders 

The remit of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of research projects in the NHS Research Scotland (NRS) Metabolic and Endocrine portfolio, including increasing the number of patients enrolled into trials. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the NRS Portfolio Performance Manager, together with established groups, individual clinicians, NRS Research & Development Directors and lay representatives to promote, deliver and develop Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activity in the area, and with CSO on wider NRS strategic initiatives.

The post holder will be an established clinician resident and working in Scotland, and must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in clinical research activity within one or more areas of Metabolic and Endocrine disorders.

Hours: 0.1FTE/ 1PA per week

Salary: Pro-rata within the post holder’s pay scale

Length: 3 years in the first instance, with the possibility to extend
