Joint NES/CSO Lectureship posts – new round open

NHS Education Scotland and the Chief Scientist Office are delighted to announce that the next round of their joint lectureship scheme is open for applications.

Applications are invited from speciality registrars in training who hold a Scottish NTN and have completed (or will shortly complete) a PhD or MD and wish to spend 50% of their time on research and 50% of their time in clinical training. As such these Lectureships posts are integrated academic training posts they will run until the CCT has been achieved.

Candidates need to get confirmation from both their deanery, clinical employer and their proposed higher education institution that they will be supported in this position and a plan is in place to ensure they are still able to achieve their CCT.

The deadline for applications is 5 pm on Friday 31 January 2020

Applications will be shortlisted by a panel and interviews held on 18 March 2020, with a view to Lectureships starting at a convenient time from August 2020.
